Itinerary

Day 1, Windhoek: After you’ve settled into Chameleon Guesthouse, we spend the afternoon at the Amani Lodge big cat sanctuary. We join the afternoon feeding tour with excellent photographic opportunities and champagne sundowners.

Day 2, Windhoek to Etosha: After breakfast you set off on a Township Tour. At noon we depart from Chameleon Lodge and arrive outside Etosha National Park before sunset, where we enjoy a delicious dinner and prepare for the day ahead.

Day 3, Etosha National Park: We depart before sunrise to catch the morning activity in the park. In this arid environment the animals are driven to the waterholes in large numbers, making the game viewing very rewarding. A lunch stop at Halali Camp allows us to escape the mid-day heat. Relax in the pool while your guide prepares a satisfying meal. In the afternoon we explore the 4500km² Salt Pan after which the park is named.

Day 4, Etosha to Windhoek: On our morning game drive we try to track down some of Etosha’s predators including lion, leopard and hyena. After brunch in the park we head back to Chameleon Guesthouse.

Day 5, Windhoek to Sesriem: The morning offers an optional but highly recommended visit to the local Arts and Craft Centre. At noon we leave for Sesriem via Rehoboth and Naukluft. We arrive in time for a beautiful walk with the sun setting on the Naukluft Mountains.

Day 6, Sossusvlei and Sesriem: An early start allows us to catch the best light at the ancient dunes of Sossusvlei. The gently flowing lines of the towering sand and the clear blue sky make for incredible landscape photography. On our way back to the lodge we visit Sesriem Canyon – one of the only permanent water sources in the area.

Day 7, Sesriem to Windhoek: After an unhurried breakfast we slowly make our way back to Windhoek arrinving around lunchtime.
