Itinerary
Day 1, Amani Lodge Windhoek: You spend your first day at Amani Lodge, a big cat sanctuary. Your stay here will benefit wildlife conservation and include a feeding tour and champagne sundowners.
Day 2, Windhoek to Etosha: We leave for Etosha at noon. After a short stop in Otjiwarongo we arrive outside the National Park before sunset and enjoy dinner at our lodge, before we have an early night in anticipation of the day ahead.
Day 3, Etosha National Park: An early start allows us to view the wildlife in full swing. After some rewarding game viewing at various waterholes, we escape the mid-day heat at Halali Camp, where your guide prepares lunch while you refresh yourself in the pool. In the afternoon we explore the 4500km² Etosha Salt Pan with more wildlife en-route.
Day 4, Etosha to Windhoek: During the morning game drive we focus on tracking predators such as lion, leopard or hyena. We arrive back in Windhoek in the late afternoon, where you will spend the night at Chameleon Guesthouse.
Day 5, Windhoek to Sesriem: In the morning the optional visit to the local Arts and Craft Market is highly recommended. At noon we depart for Sesriem and arrive at our lodge in time for a scenic walk with the sun setting on the Naukluft Mountains.
Day 6, Sossusvlei and Sesriem: Today we rise particularly early to catch the first rays of light illuminating the rusty dunes of Sossusvlei. These tall and ancient dunes are a renowned destination for photography and the morning light really brings the colours and shapes of the Namib to life. Ambitious guest can climb the dunes, while others might prefer the photographic opportunities at Dead Vlei. On our way back to the lodge we visit Sesriem Canyon, one of the only permanent water sources in the area.
Day 7, Sesriem to Windhoek: After breakfast we slowly depart for Windhoek and arrive at lunchtime.
