Etosha National Park
An arid 4500km² salt pan is not the obvious venue for an abundance of Africa’s big game. Yet the national park surroundings the Etosha Pan is one of the very best game viewing destinations in Southern Africa. With little space to hide and scarce water sources, you will see more wildlife than you can shake a stick at.
Etosha is particularly renowned for sheltering a number of rare species, most prominently the highly endangered black rhino. Waterholes can be viewed at night allowing glimpses at shy nocturnal animals as well as lion, rhino and elephant.
