Itinerary

Day 1, Windhoek to Huab River Valley: The flight from Windhoek to Conception Bay offers great aerial views of the Kuiseb Canyon and the Eduard Bohlen shipwreck at Conception Bay. A lunch stop includes a picnic on the beach before we fly on to our final destination for the day, Kuidas Camp in the Huab River Valley.

Day 2, Huab River Valley to Hoarusib Valley: Today you will explore the Huab River environment by Land Rover. After lunch at Kuidas Camp we fly to Terrace Bay, where you once again board a Land Rover and venture into the harsh dune and beach environment of the Skeleton Coast. The aircraft will then take you to Purros Camp in the Hoarusib Valley for the night.

Day 3, Hoarusib Valley to the Kunene River: After breakfast you will enjoy a cultural encounter with the nomadic Himba people. A flight further north along the Skeleton Coast takes you to the Kunene River, which forms the Angolan border. A scenic drive takes you through the stark mountains and dunes of the Hartmann Valley to the Kunene River Camp where we will spend the night.

Day 4, Kunene River to Windhoek: The early morning boat trip on the Kunene River is a surreal experience as the river contrasts the arid landscape of the Hartmann Valley. After lunch you will fly back to Windhoek and arrive in the late afternoon.
