Itinerary

Day 1, Windhoek to Etosha: We leave Windhoek at noon and arrive at our lodge outside Etosha before sunset. Your guide will prepare dinner and we recommend and early night to prepare for the day ahead.  (Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2, Etosha National Park: Our game drive starts early as this is the time when the animals are most active. After visiting some of the most prolific water holes we stop for lunch at Halali Camp. Enjoy the pool and the wildlife at the waterhole while your guide prepares a delicious meal. The afternoon drive takes us past the mighty Etosha Salt Pan that spans an area of 4500km². With more wildlife en-route we continue to our camp outside the park, where dinner will be served. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner )

Day 3, Etosha to Windhoek: We spend the morning looking for predators and some of the rarer bird species. With a light lunch and a visit to the craft market at Okajandja en-route we return to Windhoek in the late afternoon. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 4, San Village: You will be collect fairly early around 7:30am. We will drive to our Wilderness Bush Camp which is based on the local farm in the Kalahari, near the border to Botswana. On arrival we will meet the host family before moving to our camps sites. You will have the afternoon to yourself to relax before we wait for the sun to set before enjoying a fire cooked meal. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5, Ghanzi, Botswana: We start the day with a bush walk where we learn more about the the Bushman and their hunting techniques. You will also learn about the plants in the area, how they were used for healing and food. You will also learn about tracking, how they made fire, which animals they hunted and how the lived in the area.

After lunch we make our way on the Trans Kalahari Highway toward the border of Botswana. Once we finish at the border we will move on toward Ghanzi located in the central of the Cattle farming area of Botswana. We will spend the night at camping and food is prepared on an open fire. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6, Ghanzi to Okavango Delta: We start early and drive through the arid Kalahari. Watch the scenery change as we slowly approach the world’s largest inland delta. As we pitch our tents in the lush vegetation of a lagoon you savour your first taste of the wonder that is the Okavango Delta. We will spend the night camping and dinner will prepared on an open fire. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7, Okavango Delta: Exploring the Delta is easiest using the many channels that run through its thick vegetation. We will travel first by motor boat and then switch to traditional dugout canoes, mokoros. These simple vehicles allow us to venture deep into the Okavango Swamp with the guide punting you silently from the rear of the canoe. After the day’s excitement we spend another night by the waters of the Delta.

Day 8, Okavango Delta to Caprivi Strip, Namibia: We cross the border into Namibia in the morning and venture into the Mahango Game Reserve in the Caprivi Strip. On the banks of the Okavango River we stand the chance to see rare roan antelope. We camp outside the reserve on the banks of the Okavango River. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9, Caprivi Strip to Kasane, Botswana: Heading back to Botswana we are now bound for the famous Chobe National Park. Chobe has the world’s largest population of African elephant and you will see many of the wise and gracious giants as we traverse the park towards Kasane, where we set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10, Chobe National Park: Chobe National Park is an incredibly prolific wildlife area and our morning game drive will provide many sightings. After lunch we take a boat cruise to get a different perspective on the wildlife. Elephant, buffalo, Big Cats and abundant antelope can be seen on the banks of the Chobe River. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner )

Day 11, Chobe to Livingstone, Zambia: Crossing the border into Zambia, we head towards the mighty Victoria Falls. Staying on the Zambian side of the Falls we make set up camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. The afternoon gives you the opportunity to explore the many activities in Livingstone. Whether you enjoy river rafting, bungee jumping or scenic flights – the possibilities are endless. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12, Livingstone: Our journey ends after breakfast. Your guide will gladly assist you in organizing your onwards travels. (Breakfast)
