Things to do in Windhoek

Namibia’s capital Windhoek, conveniently situated in the geographic centre of the country, is likely to be on your itinerary, be just for practical reasons. It has the largest airport and is a stop-over for most bus lines. It is the best place to stock up on supplies or go shopping.

Known as the cleanest African city, Windhoek offers all the amenities of a European city. It is has a few decent restaurants and historic landmarks. Unfortunately if you are looking for grand entertainment or a big night out, you might be disappointed in Windhoek.

The Daan Viljoen Game Park and the Arnhem Cave make for nice day tours.
